International Dog Day

On International Dog Day, we celebrate the joy and love dogs bring into our lives. Whether they’re cuddling on the couch, playing in the yard, or tagging along on trips, dogs truly make life better. As breeders, we get to see the bond between dogs and their families unfold, and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

If you’ve ever brought a puppy home from us, you know how much care and attention goes into every step of the process—from the first breath of life to the moment they go home with you. But, here’s something I want to share with you on this special day: if you ever question whether or not to stay in touch after your puppy is picked up, the decision is yours. I completely understand that life gets busy, and everyone has their own journey with their new furry friend.

However, I’ll admit that one of my favorite parts of this entire process is hearing from you as your pups grow up and thrive. It’s the little updates that bring so much joy to my heart—whether it’s a picture of your dog lounging on their own recliner (yes, they do become little kings and queens of the house), dressed up in their Halloween costumes, or taking part in family trips out of town.

Seeing the dogs we raised go on to lead happy, fulfilling lives is what makes everything worth it. These moments remind me why I do what I do. It’s not just about breeding dogs—it’s about giving them a great start in life and helping create lifelong bonds between pets and their people.

So, if you ever feel like sharing those milestones, or if you just want to drop a note and say “hi,” I’m always here for it. And to those who have already shared those beautiful moments with me—thank you! Your updates warm my heart and inspire me to keep doing what I love.

Happy International Dog Day to the “goodest” boys and girls out there—may your tails always wag and your hearts always be full! 🐾(pictured the goodest boy Ollie)
